Days of Our Coins Volume I

Coins and history go together like shoes and socks while dates and details add the color and patterns. Days of Our Coins includes 366 images, one for each day of the year, with an historical anecdote relating to the specific coin and date. Obverse (heads) and reverse (tails) images from over 200 unique United States Mint legal tender coins provide distinctive subjects for each of the 366 dates. In addition, each different date lists specific characteristics about the coin such as the name of the coin, the years minted, the mint cities, the artist, the main composition along with other details such as the law, approval date and mintage populations. The table of contents provides a date ordered list of each coin image, which specifies the coin name and side (obverse or reverse) with active links to the corresponding section in the book. In contrast, a cross reference index at the end of the book orders the coins' images by denomination and name with links to the appropriate date. The unique coins and pictures showcase the wide diversity of US coinage while the historical commentary provides an intriguing view into the subject of the coin, the artist or the coin itself.
